Two things that make me hate living in Australia

Please ignore that fact that both of these things involve Zac Efron *facepalm*.

* Hairspray release date USA - 20 July. Hairspray release date Australia - 13 SEPTEMBER. That's 2 months difference for god's sake. Anyone know of a good torrent?

* High School Musical 2 release date USA - this weekend. High School Musical 2 release date Australia - 22 September. 

I'm so sick of having to wait for EVERYTHING just for living here. It's TV, it's movies, it's makeup and clothes. And it's not just the waiting that bugs me, but the fact that some people think because it's aired in the states a TV episode is fair game. I try SO HARD not to be spoiled for things but sometimes it's next to impossible not too. So hopefully this will fix a lot of the problems. Plus the fact that it works out better for the TV station ratings as well. I know so many people that will download a whole season of a show before it even STARTS to air over here and then they won't watch it when it airs because they've seen it all. 

Sorry about that. I got a little carried away there.

This makes me giggle though. An explanation for the mountains of Dean girls maybe?

I seriously like Evil!Angel much better than whiny, I have a soul Angel. Seriously. I'm watching one episode now and all I'm waiting for is for evil Angel to start making out with Spike. They are seriously hot for each other. Poor Drusilla, having to watch those two snarking at each other at the time. So hot!

In other news: I'm baking cookies. Mmm, chewy choc chip cookies.

ETA: Wentworth Miller was in Buffy! And he looks EXACTLY the same. Although his acting has improved a lot since season 2 of Buffy.  Also Xander in a bathing suit. Kinda HOT. 








 

TV I have mainlined in the last two weeks. 

* How I Met Your Mother Season One
How is it that I had never seen any of this show. It's fantastic. I was home sick and had run out of Buffy episodes so put that on and ended up watching every single episode. It was awesome. Barney is my new favourite person ever in the world. Closely followed by Marshall. It's also scary how alike Lily and I are. The episode where he explains why he's the way that he is and they had the flashbacks to him as a hippy. Gold. Pure gold! Now I'm trying to decide if I want to download Season 2 or wait until it comes out on DVD. Decisions, decisions. 

* Buffy Season One and half of Season Two. 
OMG SO GOOD. I haven't watched all of the episodes in so long and had forgotten just how much I really did love Buffy. Plus I never really got into the second season so missed all of the Angel/Buffy angst. Yesterday I watched Surprise for the first time in years and OH. Just so good. I'm slowly borrowing the entire series from a friend and just loving it. Buffy was my very first obsession so it's only fitting that I rediscover it while my current obsession VM died a long, slow, painful death. 

I'm currently watchin the live web streaming of Senate Estimates. Man that is thrilling. Everything you've never wanted to know about politics and parliament in Australia. But my boss should be on it pretty soon and it's a good way of finding out more about what I'm doing.

I have a list of fic's to read that's about a mile long. But that's not the point. This weekend is going to be an all reading palooza. So I want you guys to rec me some stuff. Anything that's good and smutty. I'm in the mood for some good smut. Preferably Supernatural but I'm not totally turned of the VM fic. As long as it's Logan/Veronica and actually has some decent characterisations. In SPN I'll read pretty much anything so that's easy too. I also read Jared/Jensen. So please rec me some fic or rec me some fic lists! 

I'm still alive!!! I've been crazy busy with the new job and my social life booming. Hopefully things should start calming down soon.

Where do I sign up to become a lady of leisure? Seriously. I haven't had more than 5 days off since my grandma died. And that wasn't exactly a nice relaxing holiday. These past 4 days have just been heaven. My house is clean and tidy. I got to spend quality time with my boyfriend who I've now started calling Weekend Boyfriend because it bugs him. I managed to catch up with both my family and my friends. This weekend has just been fantastic. I want to be able to do this every weekend and I hate that I can't do that in 2 days. 

But now for some good news/bad news! 

Good news! I have a job interview tomorrow! Well really, since I've already been through all of the selection process it's an "informal meeting" with a man who will become my new boss if he likes me! I'm a little excited about it. I'm fairly confident I will get the job AND it's a HUGE payrise for me, plus it's within walking distance from my apartment AND is a good place to move up in as well. Unlike my current job, where I'm underpaid, undervalued and bored 90% of the time. 

Bad news! My laptop charger has died! Oh noes! WeekendBF has ordered a new one but has also kindly left me his desktop computer until it comes. But if I'm absent around these parts that would be why.

Do not watch Supernatural when you are by yourself in the dark and there are fucking creepy DOLLS in the episode. Tivo that shit and go to bed, because now, you will not be sleeping for AT LEAST another 3 hours. Stupid creepy dolls and children who are creepy and like to murder people.

I got a kitty. I got a kitty. I got a kitty, hey, hey, hey, hey.

She's so cute! Because Pete has left me for the next 5 months for police training, we decided to get me some company. 



Her name is Sushi and she's 6 weeks old and absolutely amazing. She's currently napping in my lap as we lay on the couch. She's such a mummies girl already!!  

So this was really just a bragging post. Also because I haven't been around for awhile thought I might pop in and say hi! So hi!
